At Our Lady of Hartley Catholic Primary School, the principles of catholic social teaching inform all of our charity and outreach work. The catholic faith teaches us to love and care for our neighbours, especially those in need. Through engaging in charity and outreach work we enable our pupils to put their faith in to action and actively demonstrate compassion and solidarity with those less fortunate. It provides our pupils with valuable opportunities to develop empathy, generosity and a sense of social responsibility. By fundraising for charity, collecting donations for the local food bank and giving to those in need, our students are able to learn the importance of giving back to their community and serving others with a spirit of love and humility.
Furthermore, engaging in charity and outreach work allows our school to live out the Gospel message of caring for the marginalised and the vulnerable members of our society. By actively reaching out to those in needs we are true witnesses to Christ's love and mercy. Through our charity and outreach efforts, we are able to foster a culture of service and generosity within our school community, while also making a positive impact on the wider world.
